I finally figured out how to get java working in konqueror about a month ago, when I was still using 8.2. Worked like a charm, except it got going a little slow, but I can live with that.
Now, I have 9.0 running, and it seems real nice. Problem is, when I go to a page that has java on it, the area in the browser says "loading java applet,' and the actual java applet appears as a pop up, in a different window. No big deal on a site like nypost.com, but on a page like genelake.com, where the applets are the navigation links, it's a real drag.
