The tecnique teknique technique --- method is a little slow, but it can be done. 1. Load the greyscale image into GIMP. 2. Image > Mode > RGB 3. Select the lasso tool 4. Lasso an area to be recoloured 5. Image > Colors > Color Balance 6. Turn Preview ON 7. Play with the sliders until it looks about right 8. Click OK 9. Repeat steps 4 to 8 til done 10. Grab another beer and admire the finished product Time consumed up to 4 hours depending on fussiness and if you have the mouse or a graphic tablet for the lasso tool. -- Michael
