OK I'm a tad pissed... cause this is totally weird. 8.0 - 8.2 detected my LAN connection fine (which allows me Net access thru my switch... complex? No... you ain't seen diddly yet ;p) Install MDK 9, expect no problems. Hell it even supposedly "Updated" me during the install (Something that failed during all other installs of prev. #'s.) Get to reboot linux, no Internet. Fine, I think, I'll just do it myself. Try to enable NIC, no dice. Turn off switch & Modem. Turn back on, this works usually... waddaya think? *BZZZZZZZZZZZZT!* BING BING BING! You win the prize! Nothing... sigh ok... so reboot, turn off modem & said switch, thinking it needs to be rebooted with the LAN & stuff. Does it work? I'll give ya 3 guesses, and the first 2 don't count. Helps? Yes I tried "ifup eth0" in a term. --- Femme
