also, make sure you have the execute permission set for yourself for that file, since it most likely will not have that set by default when downloaded. since it's most likely an install script of some sort, chmod 700 (rwx------) if you want only yourself to do anything at all with it, otherwise, whatever modes are appropriate for your environment.
