I have had this problem before. I believe it is because you formated your XP partifion is a NTFS. NTFS and Linux don't like each other (Linux lacks fully functional support of the file system). When I had this problem, there was no solution except to change my NTFS file system to FAT32. I don't know if things are different now.

Good luck.

Hi,

How can I mount XP so that I can copy within Mandrake to Windows.
I've disabled ro in the advanced settings but I still can't copy to my windows partition.
Does anybody know how I can solve this problem in Mandrake 9.0

HTH,
Cuno
