You start off by visiting www.linuxprinting.org where you will see your printer is supported by the hpijs driver http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=HP-DeskJet_3420 You then open Mandrake control Centre>Hardware>Printer It will automatically install required software including updates (if you are online), (this may take a while since the updates are quite large) Select the printing system to be CUPS, and hpijs as the driver. Print the test page, and it should be done. derek
