Dear All, I have LM 9 with onboard via 8233A sound. I am trying to delete all of the alsa and sound files so that I can successfully install and use the commercial OSS driver. So far I cannot get rid of all the needed files.
I read somewhere that the best thing to do is to recompile the kernel without sound and then the commercial oss driver will work well. How exactly would I do that? I have not recompiled a kernel yet so would love some step by step instructions. Thank you very much. Marcia
