Both mencoder and transcode will do this, but neither is easy. You will probably benefitf rom reading Ralph's DVD ripping tutorial at http://tuxpower.f2g.net/mencoder.php which gives a good starter as to how mencoder works. HTH Pete Ardnamurchan Scotland
