If you're having problems with the automount, why not just manually mount the CD's and try it that way - seems a bit of a tough go to jump through all those hoops to get files onto yer drive...
I know of the manual way of doing it in a text environment via superuser login. Is there another more friendly and short way of manually mounting this? I'm thinking in terms of ease of use for the average windows user that I setup linux boxes for.
I'm really surprised that after all these versions, Mandrake still hasn't quite figured this out.
