I tried it back when I had Mandrake 8.2, and at first it was ok, till I noticed it completely wiped out the stock menu entries for Gnome. At the time there wasn't a fix for it, so I did a complete reinstall to get rid of it.
Things may have changed since then. I for one will never give it another shot.
