You will manually have to add it to all your system menus - Evo still lives where the original version lived - in /usr/bin - and the icon is still in /usr/share/icons. It's just that MDK varies their standard for setting up menus - so Evo installs and upgrades (as well as others) don't necessarily get put into the MDK menu system - but it does for other distros. RedCarpet is going to be in the /usr/bin directory as well - as /usr/bin/red-carpet.
