you mean ksnapshot or the "import" command? anyway, it might be a "feature" of the driver xine is using to display the movie -- seen it happen in Windows using WMP.. you try to grab a screen from a movie anf get only a black square.. Sorry, i have no knowledge regarding xine, so i cannot really answer your question. (anyway MPlayer is better and it CAN take screenshots ;o)) Damian
