If you are using DHCP protocol, then the default is to overwrite /etc/resolv.conf with the DNS server IP address supplied by DHCP. To override that action edit /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 (1,2 etc) and add the line PEERDNS=no derek -- ---------------------------------- www.jennings.homelinux.net
