Just did a new install have network problems. IP for machine is RFC1918 space. 192.168.0.4 Plugged into a hub, gateway is a FBSD box with 192.168.0.3 as IP running NATd. Boot comes up fine, see's the card. a netstat -rn shows IP is there, as well as netmask. Table: dest gateway mask flags 192.168.0.4 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 UH 192.168.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 127.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 U 0.0.0.0 192.168.0.3 0.0.0.0 UG I cant get out, nothing reaches gateway. Had a smililar setup a month or so ago a RH 5.2 box only diff was using an NE2000 card, same routing table same IP's but it worked. Too me the setup should be working. I swapped out cables in case. arp fails too. Link light is on, as well the rx/tx light flickers with the hub. Need a light tap with the clue bat...any pointers? Thanks Keith
