Dan, I ordered the disks from cheapbytes and they work fine on my iMac. As I recall, you need a mac boot partition to begin with (I made mine as small as possible) and then you start the install program from your MacOS (8.2 in my case). I didn't keep ML 8.2 on my iMac, however, because I never got the nvida(sp?) driver problem solved. I may try to make the iMac a web server but that project can wait for another day.
