I would say hams are drawn to Linux- it is a natural progression of the
experimenter in us...  Those of us who like to experiment with electronics
(but don't have the time... :-) ) appreciate the "modular" nature of Unix,
Linux, and NetWare and the ability to tinker with the OS.

   How odd there dont seem to be all that many people on this list , I have
not kept a accurate count but I would guess that 10-15 hams have appeared
here and I would guess that well under 1% of the general population are
hams.
All this gives us a rather high ham to non ham ratio. I wonder if hams are
drawn to linux or if linux users are drawn to ham radio. I would bet we have
a lot of SWLs here also
