boy this is an old version,,, but it is about the same age as your box. My first suggestion would be to try and upgrade to a more recent version. That said, try and start over, this time instead of "recomended" go for "expert" and do not attempt to "auto allocate". and also if you are attempting to keep win on this box, first boot into windows, back up everything, and run defrag befor attempting to install linux. study up on how hard drives can be partitoned in linux first too.
