Part of the issue lies with what utility you're using to do the connection. Inherently, there are some issues with KPPP - yet another reason why I personally don't use it - it tends to have time-out problems that I've not been sufficiently been able to overcome - so I use Xwvdialer with wvdial instead. Have you tried using minicom to make sure that you can actually communicate to the modem or get a modem response? -- Mon, 10 Mar 2003 09:55:00 +1100 9:55am up 19:11, 5 users, load average: 0.49, 0.27, 0.56 ------------------------------------------------------------------ | __ __ | kuhn media australia | | / ,, /| |'-. | http://kma.0catch.com | | .\__/ || | | |=================================| | _ / `._ \|_|_.-' | stephen kuhn | | | / \__.`=._) (_ | email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | | |/ ._/ |"""""""""| | email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | | |'. `\ | | | icq: 5483808 | | ;"""/ / | | | | | smk ) /_/| |.-------.| | mobile: 0410-728-389 | | ' `-`' " " | Berkeley, New South Wales, AU | |----------------------------------------------------------------| | linux user:267497 * RH 7.3/8.1 * Mandrake 9.1 * Microsoft Free | | PC/Mac/Linux/Networking/Web/Graphics/Consulting | ------------------------------------------------------------------ Oh, I get it!!
