It would appear that the system is not able to find the particular partition that the init lives on (/boot) - so it could be that the partition table is hosed up a bit. Boot up with your CD1, and at the initial prompt, hit F1 to go into EXPERT MODE, then do the LINUX RESCUE - I think y'all will be able to get yer /boot partition back up shortly - but you may also want to force an fsck on that partition JUST FOR GOOD MEASURE - because ya don't wanna have a nice OS living on a dirty file system, ya reckon? -- Thu Mar 13 18:10:01 EST 2003 18:10:01 up 1 day, 3:33, 5 users, load average: 0.07, 0.25, 0.42 ------------------------------------------------------------------ | __ __ | kuhn media australia | | / ,, /| |'-. | http://kma.0catch.com | | .\__/ || | | |=================================| | _ / `._ \|_|_.-' | stephen kuhn | | | / \__.`=._) (_ | email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | | |/ ._/ |"""""""""| | email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | | |'. `\ | | | icq: 5483808 | | ;"""/ / | | | | | smk ) /_/| |.-------.| | mobile: 0410-728-389 | | ' `-`' " " | Berkeley, New South Wales, AU | ------------------------------------------------------------------ linux user:267497 * MDK 9.1 * PC/Mac/Linux/Networking/Consulting ------------------------------------------------------------------ ** This messages was composed on a 100% Microsoft free computer ** QOTD: I opened Pandora's box, let the cat out of the bag and put the ball in their court. -- Hon.
