Have you enabled acpi in the kernel? The default configuration for Mandrake is for acpi to be disabled. Look at /etc/lilo.conf and if your append line has "noacpi" in it remove it and run lilo -v in a root terminal. derek -- ---------------------------------- www.jennings.homelinux.net
