    I wasn't sure from your original question just what you were 
lookin for. 'w' shows the users processes in progress, which I 
thought you wanted. Look at mine above, I had kwrite open so I 
could compare md5sums to 92beta1.md5sums.asc from burned CDr's usin 
'md5sum /dev/scd0'. I was d/l'd other 9.2 iso's, cdrecord was 
runnin to burn the 9.2 iso I had already d/l'd. In the meantime I 
was readin email (kmail), all while gqview was parading ladies full 
screen all desktops, and of course my DSL connection was up. I 
probly forgot somethin or other ;)  As to pts/, you're understandin 
is probly as good as mine, try understandin this
