Hey all, Well, never did figure out why my pcmcia services were going haywire (see [newbie] Runaway pcmcia services -- above).
So I thought I would try to reinstall, but now PCMCIA doesn't start at all. I'm not sure if this is the error or not, but the tail end of dmesg is: Linux Kernel Card Services Kernel Version options: [pci] [cardbus] [pm] ds: no socket drivers loaded! unloading Kernel Card Services Any ideas?
