I prefer Mutt because it's easier on my eyes and hands. I run it using
rxvt, which has a black background with white text. Plus you can customize
all your colors using your muttrc and vimrc. It's also sweet to do mail
without ever touching the mouse.

My major obstacle was learning how to delete lines quickly in vi. If you
don't know the basics of vi, Mutt might annoy you.

My set up works like this: fetchmail gets mail from my isp and brings
it to my box, procmail delivers the mail to my different folders.

The basic commands I use in Mutt are

d delete message
ctrl-d delete thread
c change folder/mailbox
S send message to spam folder
m write new mail
r reply
f forward
