Hi, I was using LM9.0. I yesterday tried to install LM9.1.
I have a Futura monitor that worked with the LM9.0 OK. I could not get it to work properly in the LM9.1.
The graphics card was recognized correctly (RIVA TNT2 with 32Megs) but the monitor was not. There was no manufacturer entry for it in the selection list. I tried many alternative monitors from the generic monitor list and then I tried configuring a "custom" monitor. I tried many combinations of horizontal rate, vertical rate and resolutions but none of them was worked. The test showed a grey screen on all of them.
On reboot after the end of "installation" it seemed that the bootup process tried to bring up the monitor a number of times before failing the display manager. The machine went into command line mode instead of graphics mode although the bootup process used ghraphics OK. The display manager always failed at bootup. This happened every time I rebooted.
After booting to command line, ctrl-F7 showed a blank screen with a non-blinking curser at the top left corner.
Has anybody seen this problem?
