My old machine died a while back (motherboard failure) so I just took the hard drive out of it and scrapped the rest. I just put that hard drive into another machine. It boots up fine and I can log in but that is all I know to do. I tried 'startx' but that didnt work. I imagine because of the new hardware. This machine has a network card and it is functioning as far as hardware is concerned. I am not sure if Mandrake is reading anything from my network.
Is there a way to configure x from the command line? Or verify that I can get out? Am I on the right track? -=Thinker
