You can either: run the command (as super user) update-menus -v or wait until 4:00 AM when cron runs or install anacron if your machine isn't always on. Just for grins and giggles you could also run the following "compound" command as super user: rpm rebuilddb && updatedb && update-menus -n -v && ldconfig to do everything all sequentially that likely needs to be done after a large update.
