I'm sorry you're frustrated......but if you want help you will have to ask for it. Up to now I couldn't find anything you've asked about your problems excepting something about a proprietary source RPM you were trying to build. So be more explicit about what you're trying to do and what's stopping you to do that. That way we can help. Feel free to go back to M$ if it bugs you that you have to learn to handle another OS because learning is what it's all about in the early stages. If you're not prepared to do that: Come back when you are. You yourself stated an nforce chip is fairly current and there must thousands of linux users with the same hardware with no trouble at all, so the probability that you yourself are the source of all the mishaps that are befalling you, is pretty high.
