I re-installed 9.1, then proceeded to lose kde. This is how I got it back. Perhaps the same technique will work for X su to root type 'urpmi XFree86' and it should come up with a list of all the packages available. Look for the package most likely to be the base package first and urpmi it, then any others that look likely.
