Rob,
i shut down either from KDE or using the "halt" command
and it seems ok, everything is unmounted properly before i get
the "power down" message.
but i do have multiple boots on both c:(Win2k Server) and d:(WinXP Pro). Both are NTFS.
LILO is residing in hda(C:).
Any ideas?

Thx and Rgds
