Aron what security level are you using? Default 2? Mine is set to three, Shorewall is activated, and occasionally I don't get a lease renewal from the ISP. The easiest way to work around this for me has been to open a terminal, switch to super user mode and run: service network restart If you still don't have a new (or re-bound to the old one) IP lease run: dhclient Of course you could always pretend you're running Windows and _reboot_. <g> Sorry, I've been accused of showing bias against Microsoft lately, so I figured I'd show some bias. lol Regards; Charlie - -- Edmonton,AB,Canada User #244963 at http://counter.li.org Mandrake Linux release 9.2 (FiveStar) for i586 kernel 2.4.22-21.tmb.1mdk 09:56:40 up 9 days, 19:46, 1 user, load average: 0.07, 0.03, 0.02 Never go to a doctor whose office plants have died. -- Erma Bombeck -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/8a/OZqvqlrLPr5YRAgveAJ0RMQaLZhch0HzVqO2u44xiOE5b0wCfUxbv ldOTLKxLYoY7xEgLBpLJhE8= =bs3Q -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
