Aron what security level are you using? Default 2? Mine is set to three, 
Shorewall is activated, and occasionally I don't get a lease renewal from the 
ISP.

The easiest way to work around this for me has been to open a terminal, switch 
to super user mode and run:

service network restart

If you still don't have a new (or re-bound to the old one) IP lease run:

dhclient

Of course you could always pretend you're running Windows and _reboot_. <g>

Sorry, I've been accused of showing bias against Microsoft lately, so I
