Not 100% sure but I think this is something Konq uses for creating thumb
nails in its window.

And why does it start whenever it wants too?  When running it takes up 
almost 100% of my cpu resources.   I've searched the archives and found 
only two articles pertaining to it.  Neither explain why it starts on
its 
own.  Google.com/linux seems to be no help either.
