I have additional info, but i'm not sure if it helps
or not.
During boot Mandrake tries to claim a new IP address,
I've not noticed this
before. It's something along the lines of:

zcip [1014] sending probe [number]
zcip [1014] claiming ownership of address
192.225.225.225

About 4 probes are sent before XWindows starts.

I'm going to download kwifimanager as well so I can
keep a better eye on it.
ver 9.1 should work fine on 9.2, shouldn't it?
Also, can anyone tell me how to launch it as I can't
find it in my KDE
menu - thanks

Many Thanks
Lexx
