Mercy beaucoup Marc!, So, all those unused swap is normal? Because I thought the OS will write into it no matter there's still free RAM or not. So, the formula of swap = 2 x RAM isn't true for big RAM? Just now, I tried to exhaust the RAM by opening lots of apps (kmail, konqueror, galeon, gimp, openoffice, etc), but strange.. the RAM seems never ran out. - -- 11:08:31 up 1:20, Mandrake Linux release 9.2 (FiveStar) for i586 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAVn75kp5CsIXuxqURAtGKAKCzU8LhbX5nYeY6OLfPKAS/9pbACACfdIbf 9iEF3O01Evi+evUYYM00+D4= =FdBX -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
