By starting:
# startX
I got this
Using Xauth...
Writing Xauth...
Using Xauth..
Writing Zauth..
execve failed for /etc/X11/X (errno 2)
giving up.
Xinit no such file or directory (errno 2): unable to connect to Xserver
then a line with (errno 3): server error.

Write more later on it.
