Here's my lilo.conf. _g
OK. As root, open kwrite. Make a backup copy of lilo.conf with a new name. Open the original lilo.conf and, in the append lines where it says "acpi=ht" change to "acpi=on". Save and close. From a terminal, as root, do "lilo -v" (without the quotes).
Now shut down - you will still have the problem, as you are still running the original config. Reboot, and shut down again - should work OK this time as you will now be on the new config.
Let us know if this works or not, because if not there are other changes we can try.
