Hi. I have a Compaq Presario 5WV285 with a USB keyboard. It came with Windows Millennium, but I was able to install Mandrake 9.2 next to it without a problem. The only problem I have had is that on occasion it doesn’t recognize the keyboard when it boots, and I have to reboot it once or twice before it does. (Weird and totally random.) So, I have been hoping that Mandrake 10 would correct this. However, I have not even been able to even get as far as installing it. (I have the 10.0 Official download version.)
As it is loading the installation program into memory I switch the view (using Alt-F3) to see the kernel messages. This way I see that it correctly recognizes my keyboard as a Compaq Internet Keyboard on usb-0000:14.3-1 A few lines down however, it simply hangs and proceeds no further. The last message is this: <4>drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c:ctrl urb status –75 received Does any one have any suggestions that may help me? __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
