That's interesting.

I had the same problem, despite "guest ok = yes".  I fixed it by using
"security = share"

Now the printer status is "opening" instead of "Access Denied, Unable to
Connect" and all computers on my network can print without a problem.

This is fine for my current situation, but I would have prefered to have
security = user, but still have the printer be publicly available. I
couldn't get it to work that way, though.
