Have you tried messing with "Smoothing" in Acroread? If not, it does a decent job of tweaking the rendering: Edit > Preferences > General > Smoothing > The UI *sucks*, it doesn't even let me use my scrollwheel! Ya, the scrollwheel thing definitely sucks. Miark
