Hi, I have several problems.
1. I can not write a gateway in network configuration panel. When I write it there it is there until I close the panel. Even I press 'Apply' it is ignored and not even written in the /etc/sysconfig/network- scripts/ifcfg-eth0. I have to put it there manualy using some text editor. 2. When I restart network, not being previously connected, X applications are no more able to run - unable to connect to the X server. Something like: display is unavailable". I am using X.org (not Xfree86) 3. I have installed linux kernel sources from rpms. Reconfigured bit, compiled and manualy instaled (copying bzImage to /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.8, same for System.map and similar for images). When i put it into lilo.conf i get: [root@ linux]# lilo Added linux * Added failsafe Fatal: Setup length exceeds 31 maximum; kernel setup will overwrite boot loader 4. (not a problem, just question) Where I can set up screen resolution (in DPI, not width X height) in mandrake? I would like to set it to more than 72 DPI.
