I would try IP *or* machine name, but probably not both.  It may have nothing 
to do with it, but it's easy enough to check :-)  I did have one box that 
would only print if I gave it the short name - eg. 'windows' in your example.  
I must stress, though, that my printing is between Mandrake boxes, so I have 
no idea about the windows end - I'm leaving that to Ed.
