Christophe, it's ages since I did it, because you can't send faxes by adsl and 
I don't have dial-up set up.  In the past, though, I used OpenOffice, and 
it's just done through the print dialogue - print to fax.  I seem to remember 
that it was important not to have any spaces in the fax number.  HTH
