I installed most of the bug fixes and security updates. Some kdebase... and libkdebase4... files are left, 43 MB in total. I choose 'Yes'. Problem during installation. Indeed, it did say something about profiles... although I can't remember what exactly that was. In any case, I changed it to what you said. Double clicking this gives me the usual timer, and then, that timer disappears, as usual. Nothing happens. Any other suggestions for these update and irresponsive home/conqueror icons on this fresh install? Thank you! oh, Gmail gave me server errors 502 yesterday, it was 3am when I decided that Google would not fix them before I had some sleep...! Gmail is not perfect... but I like to keep my mail webbased during this XP->mandrake switch.
