I performed an install for a friend last weekend who has an Alcatel
Speedtouch, and Mandrake 10.1 set up the ADSL perfectly without any issue.
All I had to do was make sure the speedtouch-mgmt package was installed from
Mandrake Club and then run the GUI in Mandrake Control Centre to add an ADSL
connection.

This was using pppoa in the UK, and the standard 2.6 kernel.

The Mandrake set up script has certainly improved since the last time I
installed a speedtouch.
