Thanks for the help I just checked and my version of Mandrake 10.1 does not have a file /etc/my.cnf Is that correct or am I missing something in my installation? If so whit should I do? Should I just generate the file with the above configuration parameters in it? If so am I missing other configuration parameters? Thanks Frank
