Remember when it asked for a root password when you installed?  Well, I
hope you remembered that. :)  To switch to root type 'su', then type your
root password at the prompt.  To log root out (and thus switch back to
your normal user) press ctrl-d.

Or you could just log in as 'root' instead of your username at the login
prompt, of course.
