Axalon; probably my wording...lemme try again...:) OK d/l and unarchive the new kernel into a DIR, then compile your new kernel for your individual hardware, MODs, etc... that you want to use...THEN use a script <---(maybe not correct term) to finish the install of new kernel....ie: step thru the MAKE, MAKE MOD, MAKE CLEAN, etc... ( maybe not correct order of things...but you get the picture...I hope..:)), and finish up with all symlinks pointing correctly, and making the _new_ LILO so that all it will boot with new kernel, and optional OLD kernel incase there are mistakes.
