Hi there,
I've just installed Mandrake 6.1 on my IBM Thinkpad 770ED and try as I
might I can't seem to get KDE to work properly.
On bootup it seems to be initialising correctly and then the screen goes
blank and nothing else happens. By using CTRL+ALT+F2 I can get to
another console and run the Xconfigurator which correctly identifies my
graphics card as a Trident Cyber9397.
So I suppose the main question I've got for you guys [and gals :) ] is
where can I get a proper error log of what's going wrong with my X
server and how come it still doesn't work even when it identifies my
hardware correctly ?
