Let me try this one.  I think we are in the same situation where we are
trying to cut the URL received in kmail to paste to NS??
Try to point the mouse just a touch to the left of the start of the URL
and drag.  Yep, I know it's a drag as I can't associate URLs in kmail
to NS.
