If you have gotten this far, try running in KDE K > Multimedia > Sound Mixer
Panel. Turn the volume up in the panel and play a .wav file with MediaPlayer
(also in the Multimedia menu) to test the level and operation. It has been a
while, but when I set up my sound card, I think I had to do a restart so isapnp
could set up the card for the system to work with.
