If your modem is a "Winmodem" then it cannot be configured to use with Linux. (not easily anyway). I also have an internal Winmodem and ended up going back to my external 33.6K modem. Generally if you consult the "HowTo" files here http://metalab.unc.edu/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO/INDEX.html you should find the answers you require. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pablo Lantigua" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, January 09, 2000 1:38 PM Subject: [newbie] Help me please! > hi, i need help , i have Mandrake 5.3 > my video card is SiS 6326 AGP, and this linux have problems with that video > card, i donwload xsis , but it dont work, how can i fix that? > > and how can i install my modem, how can i have configure isapnp.conf, to put > my modem on port com2, and the rigth irq? > > Please Help Me! > Thanks > bye > > ----------------------------------------------- > FREE!
